I am a graduate of Waynesburg University (Pennsylvania) with a degree in Elementary Education and Special Education.  I am currently pursuing a master's degree in literacy from the University of the Cumberlands.

I have four years teaching experience at the high school level teaching English, math, and history.  I was hired in March 2015 at MLK to teach third grade.  I currently teach special education for grades kindergarten and first. 

I have had a love of education since I was a child!  I enjoyed teaching my little sister as we played.  During my elementary years, I spent time volunteering in the special education classrooms where I fostered many great relationships with students with disabilities.  My high school years were spent working in the library creating teaching experiences for high school students to work with elementary students.  Through college, I enjoyed tutoring students in the community.  In college, I was fortunate to meet my husband who is a minister.  We have a wonderful daughter.  We moved to Christian county from Pennsylvania for my husband to pursue a job in ministry.  I look forward to working with the students of Christian county and helping them develop a love of learning!
