I attended grade, middle, and high school in Princeton, Kentucky in the Caldwell County School District. During my tenure there, I received my high school diploma. In 2003, I moved on to Murray State University where I received a Bachelor's of Arts Degree in Elementary Education in 2008. My student teaching semester was spent in Lyon County Elementary School. During that time, I was able to get my feet wet in reading content. I taught 1st grade and 3rd grade reading during that semester. After graduating college, I began substitute teaching. I was blessed to be given opportunities to do 4 long term substitute positions between Caldwell County Primary and Lyon County Elementary Schools. In 2010, I signed my first contract to have a classroom of my own! I have been having fun teaching in Hopkinsville every since! I am currently in my 7th year of teaching at Martin Luther King, Jr. Elementary. I enjoy working with such an amazing staff and students.
